write. enough.
Kristina Quynn, Ph.D.

A bit about me: I am an Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies and the director of a professional research writing program at Colorado State University, an R1 university (Carnegie highest ranking for research). I am a literary scholar by training and have more than twenty years experience teaching college writing. Currently, I work with research and scholarly writers, helping them advance their careers and skill-build in the areas where expert writers struggle most: SPACE, TIME, ENERGY/MOMENTUM, & STYLE.
Most broadly, I am interested in how field experts might write more frequently with greater ease. I believe in and support the mission of land grant universities to provide educational outreach to our residents and believe in the need for access to quality education for all.

Born and raised in Colorado, I have lived much of my life on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. I teach at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and I live in Boulder.

My research and studies explore writing facilitation models and methods for faculty, postdoc, and graduate student writers.

Book projects:

Write Together: A Practical Guide to Collaborating and Coauthoring for Researchers is a handbook identifies and explains key skills collaborative writers can develop as they work together on manuscripts (articles, reports, theses, dissertations), proposals, and other shared projects.

write. enough. is a follow up book project. It is a pick-me-up book for academics with research on and strategies for building sustainable writing practices in an era of team science and digital information.
